Please join the Silent Wings Museum for a FREE ADMISSION DAY in honoring the World War II Generation on Spirit of ’45 Day, Saturday August 12, 2023.
In 2010, Congress unanimously voted in favor of a national “Spirit of ’45 Day” to preserve and honor the legacy of the men and women of the World War II generation so that their example of national unity, shared sacrifice, can-do attitude, and service to their community and country will continue to inspire future generations of Americans. Spirit of ’45 Day provides an opportunity for America to say “Thank you!” to those who served in uniform and those who supported them on the home front during the WWII era.
Special events and programs will be held throughout the day to honor the sacrifice and service made by Americans in the World War II era.
