Join us as members of the South Plains Astronomy Club give a presentation followed by a viewing! This is an all ages program.
The South Plains Astronomy Club (SPAC), formed in 1959, has served as the focus for amateur astronomy on the Texas South Plains. Its purpose is to "foster interest and activities in all phases of astronomy for its members and the public". The club provides numerous opportunities to get out and observe the moon, planets, starts, clusters, galaxies, and many more celestial objects! SPAC is active in public outreach where they share their knowledge and enthusiasm for astronomy. For more information, including how to join them at a star party, visit their website; https://southplainsastronomy.org or find them on Facebook @ South Plains Astronomy Club.
