Adaptive Play Day

Join the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department for our first ever Adaptive Play Day!

This free event will celebrate inclusive play and activities throughout our community and is open to everyone! No registration is necessary. We look forward to seeing you at this inaugural event. Find all the event details here

We will kick off the day with our Fitness in the Park series at 9:00 AM near the AMBUCS playground. Fitness classes and other activities will continue throughout the morning.

If you're hungry after your workout, our Food Truck Alley, west of the Maxey Community Center, will operate from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

At 12:00 PM, our attention will shift to the NEW Maxey Splash Pad where we will enjoy games and activities until 4:00 PM. Splash Pad hours will run normally throughout the day.

At 4:00 PM our focus will shift back to fitness with more classes to be offered near the Maxey playground just west of the Maxey Community Center. Fitness activities will last all the way until 8:00 PM.

Finally, at sunset we will enjoy a Movie in the Park! The movie for the evening will be Finding Nemo with snacks and beverages provided by Wellpoint.
