Quaker Avenue Road Work

Quaker Avenue will be reduced to one lane of travel in each direction between 61st and 66th Streets tomorrow morning immediately following the morning rush. Traffic control will be in place to safely work on overhead utility lines in the area.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. all traffic will be stopped for a brief time to allow crews to safely remove overhead utility lines crossing Quaker Avenue. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to avoid the area throughout the morning and expect delays if traveling through.

The City of Lubbock reminds drivers to reduce speed and be alert in work zones.
