City of Lubbock Offices to be Closed Friday, July 3, in Observance of Independence Day

Residential Trash Collection

Monday and Thursday routes will be serviced on Monday and Wednesday this week. Tuesday and Friday routes will be serviced on Tuesday and Thursday. There will be no trash service on Friday. 

Recycling

City of Lubbock Drop-off Recycling and Citizen Convenience Stations will be open normal business hours on Friday, July 3, but closed Saturday, July 4.

These stations are located at:

• 1631 84th Street
• 208 Municipal Drive
• 7308 Milwaukee Avenue
• 4307 Adrian Street

Landfill Operations

The West Texas Region Disposal Facility and Caliche Canyon Landfill will both close at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 3; and will be closed on Saturday. Normal business hours will resume Monday, July 6. 

Libraries

All Lubbock Public Library locations will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4. Regular business hours will resume Monday, July 6. 

Cultural Facilities

The Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum will be closed Friday, July 3. They will reopen Saturday, July 4.
