Join friends and family for Spirit of ’45 Day at the Silent Wings Museum to celebrate the men and women on the Home Front of World War II. The legacy of World War II generation continues to inspire Americans today with a shared vision of service to community and country.
This year, we honor the sacrifices made by American Children on the Home Front, as they changed the way they played in response to wartime shortages. Their games and toys echoed themes of a world at war and taught them values to carry them through difficult times.
