North Overton Tax Increment Financing District
Purpose is to encourage development and redevelopment within the North Overton District. Board recommends projects with the approval of the City Council. The board consists of nine members, including one appointed by the County Commissioner’s Court, and the State Senator and State Representative for the area. Six members are appointed by the City Council, one of whom serves as Chairman. Board members must be owners of real property in the TIF zone or agents of someone who owns property in the zone. Two-year term. Meets as needed.
