Storm Drain Art Project Artists to be at First Friday Art Trail

The Storm Drain Art Project is finally here! Join the City of Lubbock Stormwater Compliance department and Civic Lubbock, Inc. during the First Friday Art Trail on April 5, 2019, beginning at 7 p.m. to watch the winning artists paint their storm drain murals LIVE. While attending, make sure to check out the limited edition Snapchat Geofilter with the logo ‘Lubbock Lakes Start Here”.

Keep Lubbock Beautiful will also be showcasing six plastic barrels with murals painted on them by students from the following schools:

- Cavazos Middle School

- Christ the King Cathedral School

- Kids are Cool After School

- Learning Tree Children’s Academy

- Creative Learning Center

- Frenship High School (9th Grade)

Additionally, we will be presenting and honoring the semi-finalists’ submissions during the following events:

- Science Spectrum: Monday, April 8 – Tuesday, April 30

- Lubbock Arts Festival at the Civic Center: Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Sunday, April 14 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
