Mayor, City Council Members to Attend Tornado Memorial Gateway Project Kickoff

Mayor Dan Pope and the Lubbock City Council will attend the Tornado Memorial Gateway Project Kickoff Thursday morning, May 9, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. The event will be at the Primitive Social Building, located at 905 Avenue K. Mayor Pope will offer remarks along with representatives from United and Lubbock National Bank. The project will commemorate the 26 citizens who died in the F5 tornado that struck Lubbock on May 10, 1970.
