The Buddy Holly Center and the Eddie Beethoven Band Close Summer Showcase 2024

The Buddy Holly Center’s annual Summer Showcase Concert Series finishes its season on Thursday, August 15, 2024 with The Eddie Beethoven Band!

Eddie Beethoven has found his Lubbock dream come true with the formation of a five-piece original high plains rock ‘n’ roll band. The band members are Eddie Beethoven, singer, and song-writer, Mindy Adams, Hammond organ player creating sky above the music for her wild guitar playing husband Tony Adams. Denzil Warner is the man on bass and prodigal son of sorts. Jaime Moreno on drums is the keeper of time. The Eddie Beethoven Band plays a derivative form of Texas Americana having its roots deep in rhythm and blues, boogie woogie, cow jazz, country jump blues, and folk.

 

Concerts are every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Meadows Courtyard, May 16 – August 15. Guests are welcome to bring outside food. However, outside beverages are not permitted after 5:15pm. Admission is FREE! Seating for this event is available on a first come, first serve basis. No reservations will be accommodated for this event. Chairs, picnic blankets, and like items will NOT be permitted inside the gates.

 

In addition to viewing the concerts, guests are encouraged to walk the Buddy Holly exhibitions and the Fine Arts Gallery during Summer Showcase hours with FREE admission.
