Citibus Offering Free Fare on Election Day

Citibus wants to help get voters to the polls by offering free fare all day Tuesday, November 5, 2024. All services, including fixed route, on-demand, and paratransit, will be fare-free, making it easier for Lubbock residents to reach polling stations and exercise their right to vote. This initiative ensures that everyone, regardless of their transportation needs or location, can get to the polls without the worry and added expense of transportation. 

Buses will operate on their regular schedules, with no cost for any rides throughout the day. The fare-free service is part of Citibus's ongoing commitment to remove transportation barriers and ensure that no one is hindered from voting due to a lack of access to reliable transportation.
