LUBBOCK FIRE RESCUE PROMOTES BRANDI SPEISER AS FIRST FEMALE CAPTAIN IN LUBBOCK FIRE RESCUE HISTORY

Lubbock Fire Rescue is excited to share the promotion of Brandi Speiser to the rank of Captain, marking a historical milestone as she becomes the first female Captain in the department’s history.

Captain Speiser, who has served with Lubbock Fire Rescue for over 15 years, has demonstrated unwavering leadership, resilience, and a passion for serving the citizens of Lubbock, Texas. Her promotion represents a milestone for the department and an inspiration for women seeking a career in the fire service.

“Captain Speiser’s achievement is a testament to her hard work, professionalism, and dedication,” said Fire Chief Richard Stewart. “Her leadership paves the way for future generations of women in our department, and we hope this milestone encourages more women to consider a career in the fire service. We are extremely proud to have Captain Speiser as part of Lubbock Fire Rescue family”

It is an exciting opportunity to learn even more and continue to grow alongside the specialty-trained crew at Station 1. I’m very grateful to everyone who has supported me on this journey and helped me achieve this new role. I’m also blessed to have other women on the department, women who paved the way before me, who are role models, and friends”.

Captain Speiser will be stationed at Fire Station No. 1 where she will be assigned as Truck 1 Captain. Prior to serving at Lubbock Fire Rescue, she served for 12 years as a Paramedic with UMC EMS.
