City of Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) to Host February Spay/Neuter Voucher Giveaway

City of Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) will host a dog/cat spay/neuter voucher giveaway on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Lubbock Animal Services building located at 3323 SE Loop 289. 

There are a total of 200 vouchers, 20 of which are reserved exclusively for pets weighing less than 25 lbs. All vouchers are available on a first come, first served basis. Limit of 1 voucher per household. 

Requirement to receive a voucher include:

• Must have pet present with you at the time the voucher is dispensed
• Must reside within Lubbock City Limits and have proof of residency (i.e. driver's license or City of Lubbock Utilities bill with pet owner's name on it)
• Must have paper proof of rabies vaccination, or be willing to allow LAS to vaccinate your pet for free on the spot
• Must have pet microchipped, or be willing to allow LAS to microchip your pet for free on the spot

The City of Lubbock urges all pet owners to get their animals spayed/neutered. Our community has many stray animals. Spaying/neutering is a basic part of responsible pet ownership. Breeding pets is not something to take lightly. It's important to breed animals responsibly.
