Lubbock Public Health Confirms Positive Cases of Avian Flu in Remains of Deceased Birds

Lubbock Public Health (LPH) confirms positive cases of Avian Flu after testing the remains of deceased birds within the city. Right now, there are no confirmed human cases of the Avian Flu in Lubbock.

LPH and Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) urge citizens not to handle dead animal carcasses, but rather to contact LAS by phone at 806-775-2057, or submit a request for removal through the MyLBK app. Links to download the app from both Google and Apple app stores can be found at mylubbock.us/app.
