Lubbock's Annual Water Quality Report Now Available

The City of Lubbock Water Utilities released its annual drinking water quality report for testing performed from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024. Our water quality meets or exceeds all regulation standards for drinking water established by regulatory agencies. The report is on-line at www.mylubbock.us/waterqualityreport in English and Spanish.

The annual drinking water report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), is a report mandated by the federal government through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and administered by our state government through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Federal law contained within the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requires all community water systems to provide water quality information to all customers. The intent of the report is to inform customers where their water comes from and what it contains, outline the process by which water is delivered, and include other important information about the water utilities service area. It is the aim of the City of Lubbock to keep our customers informed.

“Before potable water reaches a customer’s tap, our water supplies undergo rigorous treatment processes and are subjected to numerous tests and quality checks, to ensure that water is safe when it is delivered to our customers. City of Lubbock Water Utilities is committed to providing customers with safe drinking water at the most reasonable cost possible. We encourage our customers take time to learn about their water by reading our Annual Water Quality Report,” says Greg Baier, Interim Director of Water Utilities.

The report is available online and printed copies in both languages can be obtain by calling 806-775-2586 or e-mailing watereducation@mylubbock.us.
