The Buddy Holly Center will feature the exhibition On the Prime Meridian. Artist Willa Finley enchants with her geographically, and culturally informative photograph series of England and Ghana, the northernmost and southernmost points of the prime meridian. Through her photographic emphasis on light, texture, and energy, she offers a view of interconnected human experiences, and the wonder of it all. This exhibition is also interactive through Google Earth. Visitors are encouraged to download the app on their phones to scan QR codes placed throughout the gallery. Each code unlocks an immersive, location-based experience, allowing you to further explore the places behind the photographs and connect more deeply with the stories they tell. Finley will be in attendance from 6-8pm to talk with patrons about her travels.
The exhibition will be on display in our Fine Arts Gallery through September 21, 2025.
