Lubbock Public Health's Prevention Resource Center, in partnership with Central Plains Center, will host a second free Naloxone (Narcan) training on Wednesday, March 4,2026, at 6:00 p.m. The training will take place at the Lubbock Public Health Building, located at 2015 50th St. E., Lubbock, Texas.
This life-saving training is designed to educate community members on how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and respond effectively. Participants will receive hands-on instruction on the safe use of Naloxone (Narcan), a medication proven to reverse opioid overdoses and save lives.
As part of the training, each participant will receive a free Naloxone kit, empowering individuals to act quickly and confidently in an emergency involving prescription opioids or heroin.
“Education and access to Naloxone are critical tools in preventing overdose-related deaths,” organizers said. “By offering this training at no cost, we hope to increase awareness and preparedness throughout our community.”
The training is free and open to the public.
