Local, State Officials Confirm First Measles Related Death in West Texas Region

Lubbock health officials and the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) confirm the first death related to the current measles outbreak. The patient was an unvaccinated school-aged child, and passed away in the last 24 hours.

Covenant Health will hold a news conference today, at 3:00 p.m. at Hope Tower at Covenant Medical Center, located at 3615 19th Street.
