This is the second transport in two months.
At 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019, 31 dogs will begin their journey from Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) eastward to find their forever homes in New Hampshire, New York and South Carolina. This transport is the second that LAS has participated in since May.
The sole mission of transports like these is to give animals a chance at a life outside of a shelter. The out-of-state facilities reached out to LAS staff to partake in this collaboration because there is a high demand of animals in those areas, and Lubbock has an overabundance.
Lubbock Animal Services will post updates on its Facebook page.
